Rushing to the Oscorp building, Spidey manages to get Gwen the antidote. After destroying the robots and getting back home, Connors manages to make an antidote and says that while he didn't test it, he ran a computer simulation and that should do the trick. After a wild and rough chase through the streets and the sewers, Peter finally gets the blood sample, only to end up having to fight "Hunter" bots, created by Smythe (again). Peter does so, and finds the same rat Cross-Species that infected Gwen and tries to fight it to get the blood sample, but during the fight, various robots appear and fight Peter, forcing the vermin to escape. Spidey hates the idea, but Smythe could care less.Ĭonnors then says that all they need to manufacture an antidote now is to get a Cross-Species blood sample and tells Peter that Cross-Species hide in the sewers away from society. Smythe then calls Spidey and tells him he invented his own "cure" and says that it has poisonous nanobots that kill anyone infected with the virus. Making it back home, Peter is shocked to discover Connors used Stan's credit card to buy resources and set up a lab until it didn't work anymore. Knowing they need Connors' data files, Peter goes to the Oscorp Archives Facility, and teaming up with reporter Whitney Chang, the two manage to get Connors' files before they're incinerated. Unfortunately, Spider-Man is now seen as a criminal by the media for helping Connors. Luckily, the two manage to escape and take shelter at an apartment owned by Stan Lee (who is one of Peter's friends) before the cops arrive.

However, while attempting to free Connors, Spidey accidentally frees all the inmates, including cat burglar Felicia Hardy (whom Spidey had presumably incarcerated in the hospital before the events of the game), thus causing them all to wreak havoc in the hospital and attack Connors. Connors agrees to help, but orders Peter to take him back to the hospital after everything is over. After getting Gwen, the scientists, and Smythe to quarantine, Spidey takes the "Osphone" on Gwen's suggestion and leaves to capture the escaped Cross-Species, only to be attacked by a giant robot built by-you guessed it- Smythe.Īfter ending his flashback, Spidey tells Connors that he came to the hospital to bust him out so they can make a cure. Fed up, Peter suits up as Spider-Man and attempts to get Gwen to quarantine, only to be attacked by Smythe's nanobots that were built to kill Cross-Species. Realizing he IS a Cross-Species himself, Gwen tries to get him out of the building, only for her, Smythe, and the others to get infected with the Cross-Species virus by the creatures. Afterwards, Peter, Gwen and some other scientists are tasked to deliver a scorpion Cross-Species back to it's holding cell, only for it to wake up and get free along with the rest of the Cross-Species, due to sensing Peter's blood.
After they almost get attacked by a Cross-Species, Alistair Smythe, the new director of Oscorp discovers them, and starts showing their work around. In Peter's recollection of the events, he and his girlfriend Gwen Stacy were sightseeing at Oscorp, and discover that the company is continuing Connors' Cross-Species experiments. Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man then comes in and tells Connors about a really bad thing that happened at Oscorp.
Set a couple of months after the events of the film of the same name, Doctor Curt Connors has been incarcerated in a psychiatric hospital due to his actions as the Lizard.
